Obituary for Todd Lewis
January 13, 1960 - December 31, 2016

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Todd Lewis. Todd suffered a heart attack shortly before midnight on Dec. 31, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years Claudia and their children Marcus and Sydney. He is also survived by his mother Ivy Reid Lewis and his brothers John and Timothy.
Todd was born in Richmond, California, and was a graduate of and played football for San Francisco State University. He later became the owner and CEO of Omega Pacific Electrical Supply. The company supplies light fixtures for the United Nations Plaza in San Francisco, San Francisco City Hall and various airports and major bridges around the country. Todd was a trail blazer for the use of energy efficient lighting. He has received various industry accolades and awards and has been featured many times in TED Magazine. He has also been the recipient of awards presented by various California governors, mayors, and county administrators
Todd had a lifelong interest in sports and played for the 49ers in the early 80's. He continued to be an avid sports fan and coached and supported his children and their sports teams.
He greatly admired his grandfather, Charles Reid, who ran the youth programs for the City of Richmond during the 40’s and 50’s. Todd proudly continued his grandfather's tradition and became the president of The Charles Reid Foundation which has provided toys for thousands of needy children in North Richmond at Christmas time for the past 69 years. He also donated his time and money to various other charitable endeavors benefiting local children such as the SFFD holiday toy drive, SMART Students.
Todd enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, traveling, cooking, golf and an occasional cigar.
Services will be held on Monday January 16 at 10:00 AM at Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church, 9015 South Gale Ridge Rd, San Ramon. Interment and repast will follow at Oakmont Cemetery in Lafayette.
